While You Wait- Worship And Intentionally Trust

I haven’t written a blog post in what seems to be forever, due to being busy with school, work and something else I plan to share with you all VERY soon! In the meantime, I finally decided to complete a post I’ve been working off and on with.

Have you ever had a song stuck in your head for so long, it began to be a nuisance and you suddenly hoped to never such tune again? Well, that’s how I have recently felt with the word ‘wait’. Not only does the word drudge up all the memories and emotions surrounding the objects, people, etc in life you patiently (or the lack thereof) wait for, it is also a reminder of what you ave so longingly desired. For some, this word may signify the ceasing of actions in the moments prior to receiving what is desired. A few moths ago ‘wait’ was so heavy in my spirit, it kept me up one night. Finally, as I began to drift asleep, the word was suddenly broken down to me in a way in which I never thought of before. Worship And Intentionally Trust. Just like that, it all made so much sense to me. When I turn my focus from the objet of the wait, and I bring it to the one who knows all and sees all, I’m no longer wracking my brain over all the nagging details of the wait. Praising through the pain of the wait, through the dark deep pit and choosing to intentionally trust in the one who is the maker of all things, not only makes the wait worthwhile, but it truly grows the relationship with Christ and your strength. I don’t believe God wants us to stress and worry over our issues, rather he wants us to truly release it to him and trust that he will handle it all. Now, that’s not the easiest task to do over course, because if you’re anything like me, if you’re not worrying about it, you feel as if you’re not really doing anything about it. Also,, it’s difficult to release control over such matters, in that way. Although quite difficult, I’ve made the decision to intentionally give all worries to God in order to truly trust him with my heart, and praise him through it all. Undoubtedly, I’ve found myself going back and picking up the worries I’ve given God and I catch myself and give it back to him. I’ve found that I sleep better at night knowing He is working it all out. Afterall,, He is a good good father!
So, what has you up at night, causing you stress? What are you trying to work out yourself, but finding that you’re unable to do it all? Can you do me a favor and rest sweet friend, in the arms of God? Give it all to him in a true effort to trust that He knows what’s best and he would never fail you! When you find yourself stressing and worrying while in the wait, whatever it is your waiting for, remember to Worship and Intentionally Trust your good, good Father!

Scriptures to reflect on:

Psalms 27:14
Rely on the Lord. Be strong and confident. Rely on the Lord.

Psalm 55:22
Cast your burden on the Lord,
And He shall sustain you;
He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.

  1. Wow, and Amen. Type A personalities such as my self struggle with releasin ANYTHING lol. I often find myself waking up and unable to go back to sleep due to the many thoughts in my mind… mostly to-do-list or things that I have little to no control over. I really needed to hear that message. Thank you for allowing God to speak through you. I pray that all who read that will not only be “hearers” of the message but “doers” … which I’m consistently working on.
